
Marcos Cervantes was called to the Law Society of Ontario in 2011 and the Barreau du Québec in 2010. Prior to founding Cervantes Law Firm, Marcos worked in both small and large law firms in Montréal and Toronto. Marcos also has experience working in the customs and international trade group of one of the Big 4 accounting firms.
Marcos holds civil law and common law degrees from the Université de Montréal, a Certificate in Marine Transportation from a joint program of the Shipping Federation of Canada and Concordia University, a Certified Trade Compliance Specialist designation from the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB), an accreditation as an Export Compliance Professional from the Export Compliance Training Institute (ECTI), and a Masters of Law (LL.M) in principles of international taxation from the University of Toronto.
Marcos studied law in three different languages, attending universities in Montréal, Toronto and Guanajuato, Mexico. He is fluent in French and Spanish and has basic conversational skills in Mandarin.
When not in the office, Marcos enjoys adding controls to his flight simulator, servicing his car, as well as boating and fishing.
